Responsibilities and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, materials science
- Responsible for Quality Control tests, and Metallurgical laboratory microhardness testing per ASTM E92, general surface and sub-surface, microstructure determination, sample preparation and physical metallurgy of ferrous metals
-Responsible for NADCAP Heat Treat and Quality Systems Audits according to AS 9100, Aerospace Material Specification (AMS) and other customer specification
- Ensure compliance with codes and standards pertaining to NADCAP and Ion Nitriding per AS 9100 and Aerospace Material Specification (AMS)
- Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot issues related to Ion Nitriding and metallurgical processes
- Develop and maintain documentation related to Ion Nitriding processes and NADCAP
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings
- Experience in designing mechanical tooling/masking
- Must be familiar with NADCAP Certification Process
- Must have an experience with the Lab Hardness Testing
- Must have an experience with the ION NITRIDING Process
