Job Statement
The Material Handler will be responsible for the setup of mill fixtures on Numerically Controlled Milling Machines.
Working closely with Machine Operators and Manufacturing support personnel they will properly affix, align and otherwise “load” mill fixtures onto machine tables.
They will additionally be responsible for “loading” material, forgings, and partially machined work pieces onto these mill fixtures in accordance with setup instructions.
Essential Functions
The following is a list of duties, tasks, work activities and/or functions the:
Material Handler will/may be required to perform:
Prepare machine tables for the placement of mill fixtures
Prepare mill fixtures for placement onto prepared machine tables
Perform minor maintenance to mill fixtures (apply oil as preservative, repair threads using thread die, stone scarred surfaces, etc.
Operate overhead cranes
Select and use the appropriate slings or other lifting devices (shackles, eye bolts, etc.) for use when applying mill fixtures or parts to machine tables
Operate milling machines when necessary to support setup functions
Select and apply appropriate clamps, bolts, vacuum supplying pumps, etc.
Remove and replace parts from mill fixtures
Remove and replace mill fixtures
Perform other reasonable tasks, projects or duties as they are assigned by
supervision.

The Material Handler will be expected to posses and demonstrate:
A minimum of 2-years of related machine shop experience
Must have forklift experience
Must be familiar with all tools used in the mill fixture setup process (indicators, micrometers, calipers, pins, clamps, slings, overhead cranes, forklifts, deburring tools, cutters, grinders, etc. and be able to use them to perform the duties outlined in the Essential Functions section of this Job Description
Must be able to read setup instructions written in English
Must be able to stoop, kneel, climb, bend, and otherwise physically perform the duties outlined in the Essential Functions section of this Job Description
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide manually or with the use of a calculator (basic shop math)
Must be able to lift a 30 lb. object and carry that object 20 ft.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $18.50 to $23.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 104 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
