Mellady Direct Marketing is looking for a detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team. This role focuses on the technical aspects of print production, including preparing print-ready files, prepress work, and setting up variable data for personalized printing. While creativity is part of the job, the main focus is on producing accurate and high-quality print materials. You will work closely with a team that values precision and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Print-Ready Files: Use Adobe Creative Suite to create accurate design proofs and print-ready files.
- Variable Data Setup: Set up and manage variable data and graphics using industry-standard print software for personalized printing.
- Prepress and Troubleshooting: Pre-flight and troubleshoot digital files for font, image, color, resolution, and printability issues. Ensure they are ready for digital and offset printing.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with account managers, data specialists, and production teams to solve setup issues and provide accurate proofs.
- File Management and Documentation: Maintain organized work orders and file management systems with a high level of attention to detail.
Position Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – Strong skills in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop for print production.
- Experience with Variable Data Printing – Knowledge of variable data setup for personalized print jobs. Familiarity with FusionPro or similar software is preferred.
- Prepress Knowledge – Solid understanding of Vector/Raster graphics, CMYK, RGB, Spot Color, Pantone, and Color Separation for print accuracy.
- Problem Solving Skills – Ability to troubleshoot and solve print and data issues efficiently.
- Attention to Detail – High attention to detail in all aspects of design and production workflow.
- Team Collaboration – Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Work Schedule and Location – Full-time (8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday) at our Valencia office.
