Job Description

Foundation Tech, Inc. d.b.a. Foundation Technology,  is a specialty construction company located in Santa Clarita, CA. We are  searching for an experienced Construction Administrator to manage all aspects of  the jobs we are awarded. We are located in the Valencia industrial center.  The position is full time 8:30 - 5:00.

Foundation Technology has been in business since 2011. We provide services to commercial and retail properties. Our projects range from civil construction projects, federal projects, commercial and residential repair.  We seeking a detailed person willing to apply their management and customer service skills and acumen to help grow our organization. This position will include, but not be limited to; Tracking construction projects and perform all administrative duties related to managing jobs all jobs we are awarded.  Assist with sourcing materials, schedule crews, notify clients, subcontractors, and suppliers of start/completion dates.   Place orders for materials,  prepare, track and send contracts, change orders, and submittals, submitting plans for permits, corresponding with gelogists and structural enginnering to ensure all pre job conditions are met.  Attend job scheduling meetings, create and update job files/binders, and close jobs.  Invoice clients for scheduled payments and final billing, upon completion. You will be working closely with Project Managers and accounting daily to manage the above tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Post and track jobs  in our database, create folders and track progress on designated spreadsheets.
  • Submit plans for permits.
  • Shedule suppliers and sub contractors to ensure jobs are on track based on schedules.
  • Along with project managers, schedule  daily teams and subcontractors to all open jobs.
  • Supervise warehouse manger.
  • Keep estimators and managers informed of incoming communications pertaining to each job.
  • Maintain and provide detailed daily and weekly progress reports using BuilderTrend, for management.
  • Create and send PO’s to all related subcontractors and vendors, as needed.
  • Post requested Change Order’s and track estimators for timely pricing.
  • Locate subcontractors for trades required by project managers.
  • Vet prospective subcontractors per Foundation Tech’s  requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors and track within designated database.
  • Bill and track costs on all  jobs.
  • Manage, correct, and submit timecards for related projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Prefer degree or certification in construction management, or similar field.
  • Prior construction management is an absolute requirement
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience in construction administration or construction office manager in a  related field.
  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of geographical service area or map reading skills.
  • Knowledge of architectural & engineering terminology and processes.
  • Proficient in construction terms and terminology.
  • Knowledge concerning prelims and lien releases.
  • Knowledge of permitting processes.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask well.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to handle heavy inbound, outbound, and transferring calls.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Writer, email, and computer skills.
  • Ability to type 45 WPM.
  • Spanish Language a plus.

Compensation:

Starting salary to $84,000 per year plus discretionary bonus plan based on job load, timely completion, and profitabilityPaid holidays, accumulative sick and vacation days up to two weeks.  Medical insurance reimbursement up to $500.00 per month.
